Big Fat Minimalist

Aniruddh Mehta aka the Big Fat Minimalist is the founder of Studio Bigfat - an independent design studio based out of Mumbai. Without receiving a formal fine arts education, Mehta has been designing and illustrating for 10 years. He makes use of geometry as a creative force in his work, which spans across various mediums.

Some works to his credit include the title sequence of Sacred Games (Netflix), a mural in Facebook’s office in India, and collaborations with Adidas and record labels amongst others.

 

HP Z Series

New Delhi, 2019

In a bold and playful approach, Big Fat contributed to HP Z Series’ launch event. As the guests entered an immersive room, a motion graphic video installation created via the new Z laptop transported them into an alternate futuristic galaxy.

F(r)iction at Kona

Painted in an anamorphic style, the artist's creation - a 3D grid - came alive at St+art’s urban art exhibition, F(r)iction. As we all live within structures, this grid prompted visitors into it, stimulating thoughts on how we are now configured into new systems of virtual reality, which in turn influence our everyday lives.
