Donate a wall, Asian Paints

Shillong 2018

Shillong is the contemporary hub for the arts in the North East region of India. As an ode to its landscape, Baroda based artist Avi painted a scenery of the famous cherry blossoms of the region blooming alongside the figure of a traditional musician from the mountains. Painted on Meghalaya's ‘Rajasthan Bhawan’ built in the 1950s by immigrants, the mural is also enriched by rajasthani motifs, showcasing a synergy between two cultures to celebrate the diverse ties that make India one.

Lodhi Art District

New Delhi, 2016

The inspiration for this wall comes from the social media and smartphone revolution. While working in Lodhi Colony, they observed how a lot of people came every day to click pictures of the murals and the work of the artists, taking selfies and group shots, or posing for fashion shoots. So the artists decided to turn the lens towards the viewer, as a comment on the selfie generation and on the nature of street art as well. This art movement, in fact, has become so popular and trendy due to its openness and its captivating visuals have inundated social media making this phenomenon as large in the streets as on the web.
