BOND

German artist Bond TruLuv (1981) started his graffiti practice at the beginning of the millennium. Since then, he has eagerly committed himself to examine diverse ways of composing letters and calligraphic ways of expression. As part of this practice, he adapts his moniker in experimental ways on diverse surfaces across the world, making him one of the most prolific graffiti writers in the world.

His variation in tagging is cultivated through extensive travelling as well as a constant search for environments and sceneries that inspire his new pieces profoundly. Simultaneously, he is constantly exploring the scope of different mediums such as canvas, video, installation and augmented reality. His work can be found in Europe, Africa and especially Asia, where he discovered a stimulating ground for street art in the early 2000s.

Lodhi Art District

New Delhi, 2019

Complementing the pastel and sober color palette of Lodhi Colony, Bond painted his tag in a glossy chrome effect with saturated colors. The artist, in his continuous affinity with experimentation, also left an AR portal within the mural that comes alive when viewed through the Vuforia View application. Breaking the flat dimension of the wall and graffiti writing by a whole new medium.

St+art Mumbai

DHARAVI, mumbai, 2014

Interpreting his tags for Dharavi, Bond left pieces over the rooftops of the neighbourhood, often used as a space of respite from chaos by the community. The tags read playfully, while uplifting the space with colors.

BANDRA

The residents of Bandra were left hypnotized by Bond’s tag, which created a sense of fluidity on the wall through a 3D hand-painted render. In a monochromatic tone, this mural aimed to evoke a feeling of contradiction by being set against the green landscape of the urban suburb.
